Perhaps most famous for producing the Coswrth Sierra & Escorts of the late 80s and early 90s, along with numerous race winning Formula One engines, Cosworths beginings were much more humble.
Starting life in a small workshop in London in 1958 Cosworth was founded by Mike Costin and Keith Duckworth. However, it did not stay small for long, Things quickly grew and a move to larger premises were soon required, where work began on the development of the Ford 105E engine.
What originally began as a racing engine workshop grew into one of the most successful engine manufacturers in history, with driver and manufacturer titles in Formula 1, IRL, Champ Car, WRC and MotoGP. The growth and development of Cosworth to become a group of companies has created a new dimension of market opportunities outside of the motorsport world which originally nurtured the business founded over 50 years ago.
In 2004, Cosworth was sold by Ford, and the Cosworth Group of companies was formed.
The present day Cosworth is a very different business to the one that started out over half a century ago. The transfer of technologies, which established Cosworth as one of the greats in the relatively contained world of motorsport, has built the foundation for Cosworth as a global provider of advanced technological solutions that draw on the synergy created by the Group’s mix of innovative capabilities, which include Engineering, Motorsport, Energy generation, Marine, Aerospace & Defenseand of course performance tuning.
The current range of Tuning products is diverse and exciting, ranging from a set of ‘fast road’ brake pads through to big valve cylinder heads, billet crankshafts, and even full high performance engines. Two ranges of pads are available for wide range of Japanese, German & British applications, Streetmaster for the road & Trackmaster for the circuit, both made with premium grade friction material for superior bite, exceptional stopping performance and fade resistance. A range a full brake system upgrades is also available, including discs, caliper, pads, hoses & mounting brackets.
Cosworth also produce a range of high flow synthetic air filters & induction kits.Constructed from a
